About the UKCPSA
The UK Competition Platform Standards Authority (UKCPSA) is the UK’s only independent body dedicated to promoting integrity, fairness, and transparency across the online competition, raffle, and prize draw industry.
We provide a voluntary certification process for operators who want to demonstrate their commitment to best practice, giving both players and regulators confidence that each certified platform operates legally, responsibly, and with genuine fairness.

Our Background
In early 2025, before formally launching our certification program, the UKCPSA team ran a live competition prize draw website. This was designed solely to understand how the industry functions in practice, including payment systems, entry mechanisms, advertising compliance, and customer experience.
All prizes offered in this test competition were real, and no profit was made, this was an investment for learning. Every entry and draw was conducted fairly and transparently. The exercise provided valuable insight that shaped our certification criteria, ensuring that our framework is grounded in real-world experience rather than theory alone.
Independent and Impartial
The UKCPSA is fully independent.
We do not operate or host competitions, raffles, or prize draws. Our sole focus is the assessment and certification of operators who meet our high standards of fairness, transparency, and legal compliance.
This independence allows consumers, regulators, and certified businesses to trust the integrity of our processes.
Collaboration and Recognition
We are already in direct contact with the UK Government, specifically the Minister for Museums, Heritage and Gambling within the House of Lords, regarding compliance, consumer protection, and the forthcoming voluntary code of conduct.
Our goal is to position the UKCPSA as the leading independent and recognised authority for standards and certification within the UK’s competition and prize draw industry.
