Join the UKCPSA and get certified as a trusted raffle and prize draw competition operator.
 

Display your official certification badge, access the certified random ticket selector or certified number generator, and connect with fellow operators through expert advice, industry updates, and our private members group.

Membership Tiers

The certification process remains confidential throughout. If you are not successful in the certification process*, a full refund shall be given.

What Members Receive

Every UKCPSA member, regardless of tier, receives the same full certification benefits. Membership includes the right to display the official UKCPSA Certified badge on your website — a clear mark of trust and credibility for customers.

 

Members also gain free access to our Certified Random Ticket Selector and Certified Random Number Picker, ensuring fair, compliant draws every time. In addition, you’ll receive ongoing guidance and advice, industry news and updates, and exclusive access to our private Facebook group for UK competition, Raffle & Prize Draw operators — a space to share insights, learn, and connect with others in the industry.

How the Certification Process Works

 

Step 1: The Initial Audit

Once your payment has been made, your certification audit begins.
You’ll complete a short online form about your business — covering key areas and the three pillars of the code of conduct, Player Protections, Transparency & Operator Accountability such as:

  • Links to your Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

  • How your competitions operate, including GDPR compliance and data protection

  • Adherence to core rules such as offering a free postal entry and avoiding unnecessary competition extensions

  • Procedures for age verification before awarding prizes

  • Whether you’re registered with the ICO

 

Anywhere you’re unsure, don’t worry — we’re here to help.
Certification will never be denied without consultation or guidance to help you meet the standards.

Step 2: Certification Approval

Within approximately 10 business days of receiving your completed questionnaire, your application will be reviewed.
Once approved, you’ll receive:

Step 3: Ongoing Compliance

Certification doesn’t end with approval — we continue to help you maintain high standards.
Our ongoing process includes:

  • Regular audits to ensure your competition operations and website remain compliant

  • Periodic checks during live draws to confirm the Certified Random Ticket Selector or Certified Random Number Generator is being used

  • Random winner verification, where we may contact a selected winner (no more than five times per year) to validate results — all handled within UK GDPR law using pre-approved privacy wording

If any issues arise, we’ll work with you to correct them quickly. However, if there are three (3) or more compliance breaches within a 12-month period, certification may be revoked without refund.

All information provided during certification is handled with complete confidentiality.

* During the initial audit, we may recommend small updates to your website or operational processes to help achieve certification. All certified members are encouraged to use the CPSA Certified Random Number Generator in order to maintain compliance and demonstrate ongoing commitment to fair, transparent draws.
